Katy Taylor looked pretty good in the FBISD Tournament, in fact they only lost to then undefeated Cy Ranch by six points. Ranch was and still is one of the teams in the hunt so if they're in the hunt and Taylor was withing shouting distance, they're in the hunt as well because in a one game series remember once again, you only have to be the best team that game. Okay with that being said, Taylor is currently a game behind Seven Lakes who defeated the Mustangs twice this season, first in the KISD Tournament for 5th place and a few days later in district, so that means they're in the hunt too when playoffs come around
I haven't seen Seven Lakes however they've come up with some big wins, including Atascocita who were rolling along undefeated at the time. "The Taz" is currently tied with Dekaney for first place in arguably one of the toughest districts in the area so beating them does actually mean something. One thing I know is that Katy Taylor travels to Seven Lakes next Friday for the district showdown
