A&M host Mississippi St on family day reunion

The words are still indescribable for me which should tell you something on Texas A&M's magical 2011 season which saw them win the NCAA National Championship. Being along for the whole ride and watching my daughter achieve the highest of heights is something that will be embedded in my mind forever

Today is "Family Day" at Reed where several former players and their families come back and Mississippi State brings several key "players", on and off the court, back to where it started. Mississippi State head coach Vic Schaefer was the man who ran the defense, which was one of the most effective in the NCAA. His assistant, Johnny Harris was also an assistant with A&M who along with now A$&M assistant, recruited some heavy hitters that helped take the team all the way to the top

Maryann Baker won the Big 12 6th Man award during the championship season, the former Bishop Lynch star was one of the toughest players I've known, she's now the Director of Basketball Operations at Mississippi State, Skylar Collins, who came up with some big plays throughout that NC run is Video Director and rounding it out is the ONE who helped turn the program around, Aquaneshia Franklin who is also a Mississippi State assistant coach. Franklin was the point guard that helped lead the Aggies to an Elite 8 finish her senior season, her guidance helped my daughter, who is back in ,Aggielaand as a GA and based on what I'm hearing from the guards who are there now, she's already made an impact on them
