Atascocita holds off Kingwood in District 17

 After three quarters, Kingwood was as close as they could be to district co-leader Atascocita on the road however a 16-14 fourth quarter win enabled "The Taz" to a 56-54 victory. This moves Kingwood to a 5-5 district record, one game behind 6-4 Spring for the final playoff spot, that's the bad news

STANDINGS

The good news is that of the four teams in front off them, the only one they have to face is is Spring next Friday while Spring has to face the top three teams  Dekaney, Atascocita and Klein Forest as well, Dekaney game is on Friday

Shatarah Brown went off for the Eagles scoring 26 points, she and Hannah Hopkins combined for 39 of their 56. Charlotte Hodges and Brooke Jolivette scored 14 each for the Mustangs
