Gulf Coast Classic featuring Under The Radar stars

When I look at this picture I only think about how time has flied as I remember a five or six year old Kimi Carter dribbling and shooting as she watched her older sisters play and I just wonder where the time has gone. Carter is a unique situation as she is one of the leaders in many categories for Barbers Hill and that is she has a chance to close out her career with a state run, something she opened it up with as a freshman for the Eagles. Barbers Hill has lost only two games, Cy Woods and Westside however both are 6A schools while the Eagles are one of the best in 5A, well the state period. Carter is one of the best finishers with both hands, can shoot the long ball and defend and that's what she'll be doing as they seem to be on a collision course with Katy Taylor in the semi's

On the top side of the bracket, the explosive Joyce Kennerson has been on a tear all season averaging close to a triple double for Port Arthur Memorial and after watching her drop five threes in a row in the Aldine Invitational in a matter of minutes, that sort of sums up what I mean by explosiveness. Port Arthur Memorial appears to be headed to semi final match-up against  a very tough Dekaney team, Barbers Hill, Dekaney and Port Arthur Memorial are among the GPR Area Top 15 and Katy Taylor definitely has the mix to pull off an upset so this should be interesting to say the least
