5A Championship Preview-Manvel vs Duncanville

This is how it should have ended up, the two best teams in the state featuring two of, if not the two best players in the country and both got here after after winning on Friday, like I expected but not how I expected. Duncanville led Wagner hang around for most of the game, final score is somewhat deceiving but the Thunderbirds just wouldn't quit. The Manvel vs Plano West game was over early in the second quarter and when you look at the fact that the Wolves shots just wouldn't fall, 11 points on 20% shooting in the first half, that sort of paints a picture

Brianna Turner was captured in this #AutoAwesome photo and she was just that with a double-double but the big key was Ameiya Jackson joining Turner, Jordan Hosey and Rangie Bessard in double digits and for them to beat Duncanville, that probably will have to be repeated.

If you're wondering why, to put it mildly Duncanville is battle tested in this situation and Cierra Johnson simply has taken her game to another level. 21/16 on yesterday, 11 of those 15 were offensive rebounds, Tasia Foman 28/9 and Ariel Atkins with 18. This game will also boil down to the way it's being called, Tiara Davenport almost had a double-double as well, 11/9 yet in 14 minutes. The streak is at 105, Manvel beat Plano West by almost as much as Duncanville beat them in the  Sandra Meadows Classic but none of the stuff I mentioned means anything because the game is played on the court but one thing I know, Duncanville has risen to the occasion over the past three seasons and this should be a great game but at the end, 106
