2021 will be tons of fun and double trouble

Addison and Ashton Poth

I'm still abuzz after playing back the efforts of the young ladies I saw in the 5/6th Grade Didivision, especially the young Katy Rebels Poth team who are still technically fourth graders until the first day of class. Katy, you have a new set of twins I'll be raving about because these two young ladies have "IT" and I'm not just saying that and anyone who knows me knows I don't just throw things out to be doing so, in fact I'm so confident in the Poth twins that they are going be on my Tip Sheet as well as many of their teammates in the future

Watching teams this young that understand basketball this early is simply a joy. They understand that if a ball is lobbed across court, you don't just stand there and watch it, they understand how to trap, follow their shot and box out. They understand how to hit the open man, advance the ball and not get trapped over and over in the corners with nowhere to go and even more importantly not picking up their dribble for no reason. Avery Smith is solid, heady and knows how to take advantage of whatever is given to her

Alicia Blanton is already showing certain signs, she anticipates well and has long arms whcih is a plus plus she explodes to the rim which is even bigger and when you're talking bigger Alley Batterhorst will continue to grow, on and off the court. Right now she's a shot block waiting to happen not to mention the ability to clean up boards on both ends

So whether it's keep your hands up, attacking the rim, knocking down down the midrange or just diving for the loose ball, this young team has some talent. I'll have a chance to catch a full game in the future to check out some of the other talented young players on the team but until them, stay focused and keep working, you never know might be watching
