Was I right, I know I said it was over but.......

Mirror mirror on the wall, who will change the basketball, at Klein Forest is exactly what I said after seeing these young ladies for the first time I believe around the seventh grade. I had already heard about Ebony Parker's ball handling and frame, the bloodline going through Ekiyah Gray and the tenacity of Regina Scott and after hearing about Gray dropping 50 plus in a game I was at a tournament and I watched her perform

Scoring a lot of middle school can  be deceptive, I recall a game my daughter played against that had no ball handlers and she kept stealing the ball for lay-ups and had probably 20 in less than three minutes before her coach called the press off so my thought process is all over the place when I hear about numbers "it's not what you do it's who you do it against"

When I did see her play for the first time, it's not what Gray did on the floor, it's how she did it and I'm thinking with her length and athleticism she was going to be huge and of course, I was correct. Parker ran the point to precision at a young age during club ball and I was more impressed with her basketball IQ because she truly understood the importance of getting her teammates involved, not to mention she also knew when to take over. Scott is simply one of the best undersized posts to come through the area and I'm talking this millennium. I've watched her battle girls six or more inches taller for rebounds and come away time and time again as she possesses that throwback mentality of "you're not going to beat me."

Klein Forest had not made it to the playoffs before this trio arrived, at least not since I started paying attention, and I don't have time to verify but I'm right however if you refer back to November 2010 I stated these young ladies would turn that program around and they've not only made it to the playoffs three straight seasons and have a legitimate shot at not only an area F4 but a trip to Austin which certainly would be icing on the cake for the very talented trio
