Janelle Perez was one of the first players from the El Paso area that blew me away years ago and it's no surprise that her success is continuing at Northwestern State. After a phenomenal shooting exhibition a couple of weeks ago at Sharp, Perez has continued her torrid pace and also helping lead the Lady Demons to a 4-0 start in conference play where they hold sole possession of first place and for that, she has been named Southland Conference Player of the Week
