I tried to maneuver around and catch as much as I could in this age group. I missed the Houston Flames and Tomball Aces. The Fallbrook Sparks won the division against Gulf Coast Legacy, but when I'm watching, everyone is a winner
Gulf Coast Legacy has some players I'll be writing about for years. Jordyn Wilson is ahead of the game because she's heady, scores off the dribble, and has solid court vision. Gracie Lefagge also played as if she was older because of her poise and staying under control while being pressured and showing #sizedontmatter when you can play. Mary Caroline was shifty off the dribble, had nice body control on her finishes, and played solid defense
Kae'Dere McClain made her first Tip Sheet with me, and her being a "long and athletic" guard who brings heat on both ends tells me a lot about what's coming. She scored off the dribble, "on the ball" defense, and gave me the "catch and shoot". Laila Thorpe uses her frame and size well on both ends of yeah, she rebounded and scored around the basket, but she also showed she could defend in and outside the paint. Kailee Gilliard is explosive off the dribble, factor in that she too is long and athletic, plays the passing lane, and creates problems on defense, scary upside
