Rodriguez standing tall after St Pius comeback

It was senior night at St Agnes as they hosted St Pius and a couple of players I've been watching since the 6th and 7th grades, Maia Chargois and Scarlett Rodriguez were playing for those respective schools plus I wanted to get another look at St Agnes juniors Lauren O'Connell and Beth Hawkins along with St Pius sophomore Laura Daulton and as usual others caught my eye throughout the game.

I saw Rodriguez drop 7 or 8 threes in a game the first time I saw her so that tells you right there she could always shoot the long ball but she has expanded her game over the years and although she doesn't stand 5'0, the #sizedontmatter label definitely applies because she simply gets the job done. Chargois has continued to improve over the years and running the most important spot on the floor, she's playing with poise and understands how to run a team

Down double digits in the second half the Panthers put together a comeback to win 41-39, the go ahead bucket came on a free throw from Rodriguez who was simply all over the place however Daulton was the one doing the most damage for either teams as she put together yet another double-double. Fouls played a part in this game, Chargois had to sit most of the comeback but once the momentum changed things just went the other way

I tweeted O'Connell is one of the best shooters in the 2016 class, she has a stoke and was on fire early as she scored multiple ways to help get the ball rolling while 6'0 Hawkins immediately made her presence felt as she dropped a three. Casey Craft and Meredith Hayes also hit big baskets for the Tigers but the energy kept coming from the Panthers, especially when ReChundra Dunigan hit the floor as she made things happen
