Northwest players shine @ #4040JohnLucas

They came from a land far, far away and I was on hand to see them play. Actually they came from Oregon and Washington to attend the John Lucas 40/40 and I've actually seen some of them play before but it's always good to see progression and here's a quick run down and since this month is Beyonce's birthday, I'll start from the left from the left

'17 Daria Ruediger- 6'2 post/wing- West Linn HS (Sherwood, OR) Long and athletic, she showed the potential to be a game changer and her ability to alter shots and score facing the basket will be among the reasons colleges will be all over, and her 74 inches/

'18 Shaiyse Smith-6'1 wing- Bellarmine Prep (Tacoma, WA) High energy and an abundance of athleticism caught my eye throughout the event but her willingness to defend was overshawdowed by the way she attacked the basket for buckets

'18 Kennedi Byrum-5'7 guard- West Linn HS (West Linn, OR) When you have a young player that can mix it up offensively, well you've got something work with and Byrum can not only create well in tight spots, that stutter step keeps the defense honest as she can finish with contact

'18 Lexie Pritchard- 5'9 guard-West Linn HS (West Linn, OR) Not only can she handle the ball, wait, not only can she handle the ball under pressure, she can simply fill it up from various spots on the floor and she also can create in tight spots

'18 Taryn Hart-5'7 guard-Wapato HS (Wapato, WA) Her last name can be used so many ways but she definitely has heart and broke some defenders hearts trying to guard her. The big thing she kept doing over and over was shoot the long ball with accuracy
