Wheatley sending early message as they capture HISD Tournament

The Wheatley Wildcats name has been synonymous with boy's high school basketball since, well almost forever, however over the years, they have had some solid girls teams and players but to fit the way the temperature is rolling across the city to form ice, none have been as hard as this season Wildcats and it's the opponents that are doing the melting

Here's a new one for you. When you have three clicking opponents can expect some lickings and the Wildcats how octane guard trio of seniors Meashell Crosby and Ariel Taylor along with super soph Erika Sydney are averaging over 40 between them, each capable of going off on a moments notice

Last night, the Wildcats improved their record to 14-0 as they knocked off Cy Lakes in the HISD Championship game by a huge margin and along the way this season, they have defeated Lamar Consolidated, who made the area F-4 last season, along with Friendswood, a team expected to go deep in the playoffs as well, along with Kincaid, one of the states top private school teams

One of their other keys would have to be the improvement of senior Laura Fair, a 6'2 post that has shown she can do some damage in the paint
