Martin's Mill Jenkins more than impressive

Big time players make time plays and after watching Haily Jenkins over the weekend in the state tournament, she showed me a whole lot more than I already knew. There is nothing I like more than seeing an underdog come out on top and when players battle back from ACL injuries to perform at the same level or even higher than before the injury speaks volumes and McNeese State has landed a gem.

The Lady Mustangs were down 37-26 going into the final quarter when Jenkins went to work scoring 8 of her 21 points during those last eight minutes which also included two assists, one of which tied the game at 46 along with what proved to be the winning bucket in their 49-46 victory which gave Martin's Mill the 1A Division 1 Girls Basketball State Title. For her performance, Jenkins was named MVP
