I try and use logic to let parents and players know that playing at the next level is hard and sometimes you need extra help. The "can't miss" players are locks, that's just the way it is however scoring 20 points in a high school or club game does mean you're a can't miss. I've gone across the country and deep in the country in several Texas towns and believe me, after that top tier group, this stuff evens out so using an example like what separates non "locks" in Texas from the other states throughout the nation?
