I recall watching Danielle Gant and Earnesia Williams (Oklahoma players) play against Marissa Coleman for the 15U AAU National Championship back in either 2003 or 2004 and I was amazed at all the talent the team from Oklahoma had. Gant (Texas A&M) and Williams (Texas) would later star in the Big 12 while Coleman won a National Championship at Maryland and is currently playing in the league. That was one sensational game, filled with great players who were not only talented but understood the game
Oklahoma Select continues the tradition that I have observed from Oklahoma teams over the years and this team was loaded with young ladies who could score from multiple positions on a variety of ways which was good enough to help them finish 6th in the 9/10 Division. Lanesia Williams showed great ball handling skills as she and Hayden Priddy have an abundance of athleticism. Alaina Cooper is one of many players on the squad that could fill it up from everywhere
