Talk about a team with bad luck and Cy Ranch definitely comes to mind. This could have conceivably been there year, even more that last season with the addition of DiDi Richards and Ariana Whitfield, two high powered freshmen, Rachel Tapps and Taylor Hunter moving up to varsity as sophomores and a healthy Ashley O'Block and Sydney Coleman. Well Hunter left and O'Block gave it up for health reasons. Kara Cezar was injured in the preseason and for the Katy Nike Classic, Tapps and Richards were out for the semi's
Even with all that, Cy Ranch won the Katy Nike Classic to go along with an SBISD championship and 4th in the FBISD. Ironically they avenged the loss to Langham Creek in that same FBISD tourney in the semi's of the Katy Nike Classic, blah, blah, blah
Can they get to state? Well they have to be healthy, but that goes for everyone else and again, in a game playoff, it generally boils down to who wants it more and I know the Mustangs not only want it, they believe they can do it. Huge ups to Whitfield for going off for 20, if they're healthy, that's quite a few players capable of putting up numbers and if everyone is clicking, like a Timex they've taken their licking while they keep on ticking, hopefully no trademark infringement occurred
