Tip Sheet Thursday (Varsity and Gold)

Paris Netherly

The second Thursday Tip Sheet from the Insiders Hoopfest has six players that simply showed the ability to take over when needed in the Varsity and Gold Divisions. There were several other very good players in these divisions, over the club season stay tuned because I will get them on

2015
Tyjae Scales-6'2 post-Cy Fair Shock 15U Platinum
Scales simply dominated in the paint and with her massive body, that's no surprise, as she helped lead her team to the Varsity crown. She's one of those rare rebounders that can explode when go after the ball but since my initial sighting a few years ago, her offense has definitely come around

2016
Kiara McElroy-5'7 guard-Houston Insiders Black
Sometimes I call her Baby K but after the numbers she put up I'm thinking Big Mac. Not just a three point shooter any more, McElroy can score just about any way imaginable and I'm talking midrange, taking it to the rack and with her frame, she can take lick and keep on ticking

Dada Evans-5'5 guard-Crossover Premier 14U
What a difference a year makes is my first thought but Evans has simply taken her game to the next level. Already lightning quick with the ball, her ability to elevate and get her shot off on anyone is only over shadowed by her range which starts around that line that divides the court

Sydney Carr-5'8 guard-Texas Warriors
Warrior is great name for Carr and I knew after seeing her last season she had some upside. She is another freshmen guard that can create for herself and her teammates but her wing span combined with that growth spurt has her looking pretty good on each end

2018
Joanne Allen-Taylor-5'7 guard-Sports Vision
Athletic and strong at a young age is always good however Allen-Taylor has figured out a way to do things with flair. She has crossover that's ahead of her years and she understands how to get the ball in the basket against older players.

Paris Netherly-5'8 guard-DFW Elite Houston Miller
I heard about Netherly a few months ago and was pleased when I saw her the March Fest and new she could play college ball. After watching her play this past weekend, that hasn't changed except I know a few college teams she could play on right now. She's ahead of the game and, physically, mentally and talent wise
