Cy Falls hold off Cy Creek

Cy Falls defeated Cy Creek 50-46 at the Berry Center in a first half that, well wasn't too pretty. Missed shots and turnovers were the highlights from the first two quarters which had the Eagles on top 18-15 however I've seen both teams play several times and I believe this can attributed to playing in an arena where the players have to adjust their depth perception from playing in high school gyms. Erin Caldwell was on fire early and was the high scorer for Falls in the first half while Carol Willie (17) and Qay Cleveland (15) took over in the second half and led all scorers

Darianne Williams led Creek with 10 who briefly made a run when Dani Fielder opened up the third with a nifty drop step and a couple of monster blocks however she had to come out due to foul trouble and their momentum went with her. Speaking of monster blocks, Caldwell and Willie are looking pretty impressive under that basket as they are throwing shots back and cleaning up the boards. Creek was so close to a win which would have would have had them a game out of first now fall to fifth place.

Here's how it's looking in 17
