Klein Forest star Gray commits

I remember thinking about something Wilt Chamberlain said after hearing someone raving about a kid score 50 plus points in the 7th grade. In his first book, yeah that one, Chamberlain was asked about averaging 50 per game in a season and he mentioned Walt Wesley scored 50 in a game and he couldn't play and trust me I've seen several girls do that as well, score 50, who were average at best. Always remember it's not what you do, it's who you do it against but most won't

Well after seeing Ekiyah Gray perform, she din't score 50 but she was awfully close, I was totally sold. The competition wasn't that great but when you have an eye for talent and more importantly know what you are talking about, her ability to score on a variety of ways told me this young lady was going to be huge. She is one of the key reasons Klein Forest finally made it to the playoffs and if everything falls into place, they could make a deep run this season before she heads to Nichols State. Both of Gray's parents, Eric and Tomara were area stars, in fact her grandfather, Thomas Henderson, was not only an Olympian but he played several seasons in the NBA
