Malena Washington was instrumental in leading her Beaumont Central team to the E-8 last season where eventual state representative Barbers Hill knocked them out of a semifinal appearance in R-3. This season, only Pflugerville Connaly stands in their way however the TABC #24 team just defeated #4 Beaumont Ozen to get this point
