Like Texas, the state of Kansas has an abundance of next level players you may never hear about. Exposure events are the perfect opportunity for the kids to take advantage of the situation and get their names out there. I remember two kids in particular from Kansas a few years ago that I knew would wind up being big time players, Tyra White and Danielle Adams, and we all know how that worked out.
TMR has six players from Wichita High School including Katie Palmer who was filling it up from bta and shifty speedster Taylor Chandler.
Smart plays by Junee Reid and Jada Lynch kept TMR within striking distance of the South Texas Hoyas and a sensational steal and score from Chandler closed the gap to 52-47 with a couple of minutes left in the game
I'm quite impressed with Erica "Goose" Hernandez, background, as she seems to always make big time plays and hit big time shots for the Hoyas however I'm equally impressed with #12 Naga Mitchell-Cole who attacks the basket at will and somehow finds a way to slice between the thinnest spots. Her free throw shooting at the end of the game helped seal the Hoya victory in one of the est games on opening day.
