Lamar is young, very young and after making the playoffs almost every seaon the last 15 years, this will be their hardest. Bellaire, Westside and Madison are locks, the sad part about Lamar is losing junior Ashley "A-Mac" Mc Queen prior to the season with a knee injury. This was supposed to be Ashley's year after waiting her turn on a team that pulled some upsets last season. This was my first look at St Johns in a couple of seasons, Brittany Williams was a dominating while Taylor provides the outside shooting, so we have a "Mack Truck" in an offense tailor made for these kids, get it, tailor made?
