Getting a glimpse of what could be two of the four Region 3 Final Four teams was a thrill to watch. First you had Hightower, last years Region 3 representative in Austin and even though a coup of starters have moved on to play ball at the next level, Brewer and Hall, Hightower is still solid with the Twin Towers, and I do me TWINS, Taylor and Tyler Gilbert, along with the amazing Brittany Matthews. Elkins on the other hand has Donielle"What's Up" Breaux, one of the top players in the city, Hightower transfer Breanna barnet, one of the top 2011 posts in the city and a couple of 2012's that also helped get Elkins to the Region 3 Elite 8 last season, Jasmyn Howard and Kaylan Sanders. These teams both appeared playoff ready, maybe it was the district rivalry, maybe it was the competive spirit both have or maybe they just wantto let each other know that they are there and games like this is what I love to see, so I Will Be There, jackson 5, wow I am on a roll.
