Where there's smoke expect HTX Fire at #AllStarWeekend

HTX Fire coach Tony Rodriguez has coached some of the top players in the country at one point or anoth who have gone to play at the next level which include every level of D1 ball. The players have received accolades galore including high school and college All American's, MDAA, NCAA National Champs as well as WNBA and professionally overseas.

I'll talk about Deyonna Gaston and Ana Rodriguez tomorrow on the Tip Sheet but this 2020 team has others with some potential as well. Savanah Lewis already understands how to get to the basket, she's strong for her age which enabled her to finish against the older girls. Lewis' head hit the floor hard so she didn't play in some of the games but she's definitely on my list.Nicole Nash already understands the game and showed she could create offensively

Lauryn Small brings a lot of energy and determination on the floor and did some athletic things in the paint along with Gaston. Even though they were playing up, that didn't bother this group of young ladies because they've been doing it for a while

Luci Melcher showed she had some range and could attack from the wing while S Simmons was simply active all over the court. I've watched many of these young ladies for the past two seasons, they are getting better and are nowhere near where they'll finish as progression along with potential is simply off the chain
