Houston Lady Dominators cap impressive first season at PTN

Me trying to explain simple things over the years sometimes proved that what I consider simple isn't always viewed that way by others. This was the Houston Lady Dominators first season and to be honest, their players were relatively unknown not only nationally but statewide as well. What they did was put together some impressive ball games, knocked off some heavy hitters along the way and had my phone and email buzzing about their "never say quit" squad loaded with exciting and athletic players

Deja Hughes is one of the fastest players in the city, with the ball and she, Cayln Barnes and Trevinqua Norris put together a three guard back-court  that brought throughout the game. Taylor Alexander and Chante Francis rounded out the five but it's been a combination of players improving and solidifying the fact that they can play at the next level

Although they didn't finish as high as they wanted at Prime Time Nationals, they were in it and the improvement I saw throughout the season from Courtney Johnson, Kevonishia Johnson and Alyssa Vasquez, well the whole team for that matter, is one of the reasons Coach Peter Badie is smiling
