Diamonds In The Rough-Making The Transition

TASIA HAYES & KIRSTEN BROWN
Making the jump from middle school basketball to high school basketball is a growing process for the majority of players and playing club ball can be a key ingredient to let you know where you are and where you need to be in order to hang with the big girls and also how you compare with your peers from the same age group.

There are several knocks against club ball but the general concept remains the same,  it helps you get better, that's the bottom line so always do what you think is best for your daughter, not what someone else thinks because this stuff is cut-throat, yes girl's basketball

Although everyone may not head into high school and be starters on, let alone make their varsity squad, that doesn't matter. Sedalia Ellis didn't make varsity as a freshman and wound up being a three year starter for Cy Falls, who also produced the best record in the area over her three seasons, and let me take it back a step further to Bianca Smith who didn't start until her junior year at Bellaire and ended up being not only winning the Big 12- 6th Man of the Year Award at Colorado, she is also their all time top 3-point shooter

The main thing you always want to remember is to keep working on your game every chance you get because your opponent probably is. The players I mentioned above certainly did and look what happened
