Bailey Middle School vs Dueitt Middle School-Bernesha Peters

I always enjoy watching the younger kids play and love to spot diamonds in the rough

Bailey and Dueitt Middle Schools both have players that will turn into good high school players

Some will even be great!

This was my first middle school game and is another stepping stone for many kids

Some may grow a lot more and may become over 6' tall

And some may not

Look no further than our own backyard and watch Porsche Landry from University of Houston and D'Franz Smalls at Rice University. Those two kids are prime example of "you can't teach heart" plus both are very fine point guards. Parents, take your kids to see our college stars at U of H, Rice, TSU, HBU, San Jac along with various high school teams around the area. Don't know the schedules? Gotcha!

You also can't teach love and passion for the game which several of these young ladies showed on the court last night from both teams

Bernesha Peters is one of those type  kids, she just has" IT" at an early age. Tonight the jumper wasn't falling however she had close to a triple double anyway. What I mean by "IT" is there are some things you just can't teach and I love watching this kid play

Before someone get's it twisted and references back to me saying my "it's not what you do, it's who you do it against line" line, the job of an evaluator (that knows what their doing) is to spot things not seen by the naked eye of most. Folks always use the "you can't teach height" line, well you also can't teach being fast, how to anicipate or basketball IQ, aka being smart on the court, something that a point guard must be for sure

Peter's has all that to go along with talent and she is going to be fun to watch in high school and beyond
