Ganon Baker Camp-part 2

EXPOSURE 101

Who is Kelvin Powell? Kelvin is a guy I have known for around seven or eight years and one of the few people that gave me honest and valuable information whenever I needed it and for that I will forever be grateful. He is also a correspondent for Hoopgurlz.com, he is on both McDonald and Gatorade committees,he has a National Scouting Service, Roundball Journal and he put's on several exposure events including what I consider a must stop in July, Basketball On The Bayou. Kelvin has, does and always keeps it real and if you refer back to my very first blog, he called me "Someone you need to know in Houston" and he's probably right for the most part.

So many people are concerned with rankings and he broke it down into laymen's terms. If you feel like you are the Number 1 player in the country, you are going to play like that at all times. You will support your teammates, no matter what. You will listen to your coaches, no matter what. You will not argue and complain with officials, no matter what. You will give your all, every play, no matter what. Several questions came up regarding rankings and HG's National Top 100 , however please realize that although Texas is a huge state, there are players everywhere and all 100 can't come from Texas . In 2005, over 50 kids received scholarships to play basketball in Houston alone, and many were not even ranked anywhere. My dear friends Joey and Jerry Simmons were on hand, they run a National Scouting Service and got a chance to see the talent, as well as myself and this is a good thing.
