Conroe Tournament

A preview and analysis of some of the action can be viewed on the website CONROE TOURNAMENT

I guess the song "Today Was A Good Day" fits for Cy Creek had after a suprisingly easy win over Fort Bend Austin and then defeating  Oak Ridge by 6 later that evening.

Senior guard Maddy McGlammery provided the offense for the Lady Cougars scoring 23 in first game and 15 in the second.

Those two wins have assured Creek of finishing no lower than fourth place as they advance to the semifinals today against Klein Oak.

Klein Oak had an easy day, winning both games by large margins against Conroe and Morton Ranch. #40 Ana Dominguez provided the offense against Conroe with 12 points.

Alicia Scott provided valuable points off the bench

Klein Oak meets CyCreek today at 4pm, winner moves on to the champioship game

Since I never steer you wrong, this is because I am an EVALUATOR who writes on the side, not the other way around, well that's one of the reasons, remember this name, Hailey Mack. Although only a freshman, this kid showed me something special this summer when she helped her club team, Cut The Nets, win the 14U Qualifier. Here's the kicker, that team was full of 8th graders and they beat teams that were a year older. Mack is poised beyond her years and is one of the top freshmen in the city. Conroe's varsity is loaded with seniors however Mack is type of player that will help turn things around in the future.

The young ladies from Langham Creek are feeling pretty good right now after knocking off one of the top 4A teams in the area, Lamarque 56-55

Christina Brosnahan led the the attack for the Lady Lobos with 18 points

Taylor Hollins added 16 points in the Langham Creek victory

If yesterdays nail biter was a clue, it won't be any easier today for the Lady Lobos as they face a team on the rise in College Park.

Lamarque is down but not out and has to do battle with Westfield today. Jessika Palmer is one of the top players in the country, scoring 22 in the one point loss. If you don't believe me, take a peek.

Want more? Brosnahan to the goal for an and-one attempt but misses the free throw only to be put back in by Amy Groves. Palmer comes back on the other end for another three.

Got to close with one of the coolest guys I know
