#PrimeTime Weekend starts now, well in 90 minutes

2017 Jde Leblanc-Ernest is coming off a fantastic HBU Camp as she performed one of the best shooting exhibitions at the camp. I'm a numbers guy so let me throw some at you. She knocked 33/50 which is 67% however peep this, it's also 99 points which means you would have to knock down 49.5 of 50 field goals for the same result. This has been a public service message from GPR, know your numbers as they will be on those tests to get in college

I'll see Jade and her Pearland Hawks' teammates battle out in New Caney in a little over an hour

Team Xpress Blue #TJShowcase

Madison Covington-Hattix simply keeps getting better and what I really like about her is how she gets it done almost silently and then your amazed when you see the numbers. She, along with Arysia Porter, Kennedy Goodsey and Breyah Richardson just make plays and over the weekend, made big plays at crucial times. Brittany Leonard can shoot the midrange, sees the floor and showed amazing body control while Taylor Green simply dropped some deep ones from another hemisphere or dimension, I can't tell, but they were far

Tichina Coleman size alone is impressive but her strength and what she did in the paint was even more impressive and speaking of impressive, as well as Bailey Hill shot the ball at Tyrone Johnson, she simply put on one of the best shooting exhibitions I've seen all year at the HBU Camp. Alexandria Busby finished strong, loved the change of pace on the dribble which is a huge weapon to have and Nikki Hillary Cardono''s arsenal is loaded as she can attack, finish, she's fast and athletic but she does what I love seeing and that's come up with huge steals by knowing how to play the passing lane and with her speed, she's gone and so am I as we close #TJShowcase and get ready for a Prime Time Weekend

Houston Insiders peaking at right time #TJShowcase

The Houston Insiders is a team I've been with since the turn of the century and even now with my busy schedule I have a chance to go and coach now and then. Season after season, all times go through some sort of attrition however this years squad started off slowly and hit some minor bumps, much of which due to losing six players  from last seasons team who all have gone on to play at the next level. Sure the game same will always start at the one and Eryka Sidney is simply one of the best 2016 points in the state. She, along with a couple of three point specialists, Brynae Thompson and Kiara McElroy, were among those at the foundation and everything steadily has fallen into place

McElroy has come up with more four point plays over her career than I've seen from anyone, ever, and like a Timex, she simply takes the lick and keeps on ticking. Thompson has more double digit three point made games than anyone I've personally witnessed over her career along with one of the quickest releases but both , along with Sidney, are and ones waiting to happen as they can score from outside or take it to the rim and when they're clicking, good things will happen including wins over teams they weren't expected to defeat, When you add the fact that Tasia Hayes, Carrie Bradford and Taylor Coleman continue to improve and have come up big throughout the season, this sort of shows why this team has some options including newcomers Tess Harper and Beth Hawkins, both capable of scoring double digits

New additions  have been huge throughout the season and Demetria I "Heard" that is filled with so much energy that it just trickles over to her teammates. She can man up baseline to baseline and is one of the fastest players with the ball and when she's on, another threat is in the mix. One of the biggest threats of all is Tiffany Valentine who is a double double waiting to happen and after minor injuries throughout the season, she's in the best basketball shape I've seen her in and as you watch the #AutoAwesome photo above, you get it. I'll close with what it tweeted Sunday. It might be Father's Day but it's been Tiffany "Valentine " weekend

Rosser twins return #RiceCamp

Tiana and Taylor Rosser returned to Houston to attend the Rice Camp  and it seems like it was only yesterday when these talented young ladies moved to Florida. The twins were among over 70 attendees at the camp and I plan on making it back tomorrow night, but first, #FBF  and that's Flash Back Friday

Katy Rebels-Goss #TJShowcase F4

The more I see the Katy Rebels-Goss squad the more I giggle as to how the time has flown and many of these young ladies are about to enter junior year in high school. My initial sighting was that they were scrappy and filled with potential and I just couldn't take my eyes off the Goss twins, Sarah and Allison, who were simply highlights waiting to happen from a couple of size don't matter guards. They're clicking on a lot of cylinders and with players like Emily Hatfield that can not only score strong on the inside but with either hand, well that's a start as well as the pickup of Kelly Lynch who at times can be instant offense

Kendall Rollins is definitely someone that can put up numbers in droves and from all over the place while Emmie Falbo shos a good midrange game every time I see her. Kelley Skinner plays that passing lane well and can man up baseline to baseline as well as Abby Nagode who also came up with some huge stops by racing down the floor and create turnovers while the other team was on the break. The twins, well not much has changed other than Allison has fully recovered from a knee injury and still dazzles me while Sarah is someone who an be deadly on offense.

Oh yeah, Big Shot Panetti, Big Play Panetti or just simply Brittany Panetti has just evolved into a legitimate BCS prospect, yeah I said it. Without going into details, she's done more than just hold her own against some players her size, she's 6'2, or taller who have BCS offers on the table. She's long and can shoot the ball from 15 feet, well that was before watching her nail three after three at the Texas A&M Elite Team Camp. To sum it up, I'm ready to say I told you so and you know if I make that statement, well............

Coming up "And then there were two" from #TJShowcase

I'll close it out with the Houston Insiders and Katy Rebels-Goss who joined Team Xpress Black and Austin Elite RFW in the semifinals of the top division, Black and RFW finished 1, 2. In  the future, please send rosters in a timely manner, wait correct rosters because once I get in the zone, I'm hitting it hard. Note, please tell your players it's probably not a good idea to trade jersey numbers with their friends at any time but especially July, if you didn't know that or hadn't thought of it, well you're welcome

SFS brings out the best #TJShowcase

I had heard about Shooting For Success a few weeks ago and the high energy players they have including a dynamic guard who is simply someone I needed to see and let me say this, they came, I saw, we conquered and I look at basketball unlike most people and wins and losses don't impress me, all I care about is finding players that can play in college, that's it. SFS had a little of this and little of that, I mean Samantha Washington was strong in the paint and Jazmin Howard, Anastasia Carter and JuJu George definitely applied heat on defense

Victoria Shelton did a good job of playing the passing lane and attacking the basket while also handling the ball well under pressure. Here's the deal, Mailee Jones has D1 written all over her, if you haven't heard of her, you will. She's powerful on both ends and can just elevate over opponents to get her shot off, which by the way has great form and is extremely accurate with someone on her. She can man up and handle it coast to coast and finish after rebounding on  the other end but guess what, I'll be bringing you tad more on her later

HBU Camp was #AutoAwesome, Rice is today

To the naked eye, it would appear that Deontae Ingram is finishing Alexis Torres' shot however the Siminator was right there and these are two different possessions, I love Google+ but even more than that, talent and HBU had a plenty of it. Just for fun, I'll do a Tip Sheet when I get a minute and later to day, Autry Court, here I come, wait, my bad, Tudor Fieldhouse

Harris one of many taking unofficial visits to U of H

I knew Cy Fair HS star Angela Harris had big things ahead when she was in the 6th grade and one of the fw things I like more than being right is typing I told you so,well let me tell you this. The University of Houston has some heavy hitters rolling in on unofficials and other than Texas Prep Elite's  Harris, you have Taylor and Tianna Roster from Lake Nona HS, that's in Florida and they play for Central Florida Elite along with Pine Bluff's Jasmyn Eckerman, a 5'10 PG that plays for Arkansas Lady Hawks just to name a few

Under The Radar Johnson on fire at #TJShowcase

Dasia Johnson caught my eye last season when I saw her playing with a different team but since she's joined Austin Elite, my eyes have been wide open and after you read what I'm about to write, yours will be too. At the Marchfest, Johnson displayed how powerful she was as she made numerous drives to the basket for not only scores but and one attempts. I knew she could shoot it, but this past  weekend, she simply went off.

How about multiple games with five or more threes, I've seen this personally over the summer but at the Tyrone Johnson Showcase, she opened a game up simply on fire hitting five straight, well foot was on the line on a couple but for dramatic purposes, I'm going going with five. Johnson has one of the quickest releases going and when you talk about a catch and shoot three point specialist or a take off the dribble three point shooter, well that sort of gives you a glimpse but that's only a glimpse of what she can do
