The championship came down to a couple of teams that have might make some noise in the playoffs in both 4A and 5A, Barbers Hill vs Cy Falls . Barbers Hill is led by Kendall Shaw, an AGH Pre-Season pick and Paris Carter. Shaw happens to be one of the top post players in the country out of what appears to be a solid 2012 class in Houston.
Cy Falls was dominant from the start as they took a commanding lead early on, they also have an AGH Pre-Season player, Ja'Lena Robertson and their leading scorer is her younger sister Shernise (2012). Falls is guard heavy, very athletic and can shoot the 3 ball with the best of them, in fact Katherine Metoyer (2012) is leading the city in three-point percentage and I believe she hit 7 in a game earlier this year.
The biggest surprise would have to be Klein which pulled off upset victories over both Westside and Cy Ranch in winning third place. Klein was led by PG Ashley Alexander, yet another 2012 player.
