McDonalds All Star Invitational

On an ugly day, I took that ride down to Bryan-College Station to see what all this fuss was about because they had two Top 10 ranked teams in the state, #6 Bryan(5A) and #2 Rudder(3A)

Bryan is strong and is led by senior Gia Ayers and junior Amanda Lawson. Very physical and athletic, they wear their opponents down and in this case Seven Lakes proved to be no match for them.

Speaking of Seven Lakes, they re young and have already won more games this season than last year, maybe the last two and the key happens to be two of the top freshmen in the city, Christen Inman, pictured on top and post Sydney Buchel. Being that young, Seven Lakes will be one of the major players from Region 3 in the future.

Rudder is scary for a number of reasons. They are young, no seniors on the team, in fact only 5 out of the 12 are juniors. Like Bryan, they are also super athletic and wear their opponents down. They can drain the three with the best of them and move ins Tori, Tiara, both (2012) and Taylor Tucker add depth to what was already a really good team which was already loaded with Marche Amerson, Lamaria Cole and Fatima Adams.

TAYLOR TUCKER

In passing, I caught a glimpse of Clear Creek and their outstanding freshmen Taylor Longley and Brittney Branch.
