Arianna Taylor one of many on #TheLastRun #TipSheet

Taylor was very good in the camp and even better when the bright lights came on at the event and the young Channelview player was one of 12 that caught my eye opening day

South Texas Hoyas-Black on attack #TheLastRun

'19 Sara Gwin left me speechless for a few moments simply because it's only been a couple of months since I saw her play and the jump she's made since then is pretty impressive. The budding star already showed she had skills and talent however maturity has stepped in as well as aggressiveness on both ends and she's definitely  taken her game to another level. Paige Williams and Kavin Johnson have also taken their games up and this is a perfect example of what "working on your game" will do

Ta'Niya Jackson and Jessica Paz Y Puente are still giving defenders fits, Jackson's defense also continues to be rising and her intensity always remains high while Puente continues to give me highlights and shows she relishes being in pressure situations. Deja Kelly? Well you can check her out on The Last Run Tip Sheet coming up later today

Texas Elite Adipure #TheLastRun

I can always count on some baseline to baseline basketball from Texas Elite Adipure and this mixture of talented players was no different. Ashley Ford was getting to the basket just about anytime she wanted for baskets while her younger sister Karen continues to improve and showed even more upside

On another note, LaPorte stars Sierra Wooley and Jordan Ochoa came up huge on opening day, Wooley is showing no lingering effects fro her injury and as always played with passion and in the opening game came out on fire. Ochoa joined the #sizedontmatter club a couple of years ago when I saw her drain 4 threes in a row however the sophomore is not only creating off the dribble her defense was definitely one of the bright spots I saw improvement as the duo will be key for the Bulldogs this season

SA Finest brings Red , White and (Blue) Diamond to #CYFairClassic

Actually the Finest brought the Red, White and Diamond teams but I was on a roll and even though I' not a gemologist, just a Simologist and like the Blue Diamond, I possess something that is also rare, the ability to spot can't miss players at a young age and Ray Caldwell has had a plenty including his own daughters.

This particular weekend the Finset blew me away with the Red tea and although I was all to familiar with the exciting young talented players like Corina Carter and Reagan Heun, Taylor Green's physicality was definitely a huge bright spot but the brightest of all had to be PG Angel Hastings and I tweeted she's no Angel on the court. Picture a highlight waiting to happen from a #SizeDontMatter guard who has already mastered the floater with either hand, getting to wherever she wants against whoever and can drop it from just about anywhere off the dribble or by taking defenders

Then I had a chance to watch Diamond and although I knew about Toni Cuellar, who has had another growth spurt and Miss Three Point Queen Kaitlyn Ghavidel who can simply put on a show, the progression from Alyssa Adams truly caught my eye and with her athleticism and upside, she's also 5'11, big things are coming her way. Kandyn Faurie as a big surprise as she found ways to score from the wing and in the paint however the biggest surprise was Vanessa Oyola. I already knew she could play and was definitely a next level player put after she hypnotized me with her ball handling and pinpoint passes, you know threading the needle with bullets, the only thing left was for her to show me she could shoot it and she did, and as a bonus she also used that ball handling to get to the rim with ease

6'3 Sara Lewis joined the White and she, 6'2 Nalyssa Smith and 6'1 Makala Mabry formed an impressive front-line. Lewis can bang or go finesse but she knows how to score multiple ways. Smith is turning into a beast, her desire to be better shows each time she steps on the floor but the main thing is she's under control and wants it. I hadn't seen much of Mabry nor 5'10 Maalena Almanza however with their size, they're more than serviceable players who can create issues

Cedar Ridge hat fits nicely in ring #CyFairClassic

Cedar Ridge was more than impressive at the Cy Fair Fall Classic and Lashaan Higgs simply went off, made her teammates better and took over when she needed and I mean took over and after opening it up in the early game against North Shore, she chilled and watched a variety of her teammates get it done against Manvel. Higgs scored at Will and Grace, I know the TV show is in syndication somewhere on cable TV and you'll be seeing her do amazing feats on The Longhorn Network among other in the years to come

Speaking of TV, Tyra Banks didn't just stand around and model, she was one of the talented players throughout the team that made things happen other than Higgs and her midrange was on point. Monae Smith has never been afraid to take the big shot, this day was no different and her aggressiveness on both ends was just as key as watching her drill 25 footers to close the gap or widen it. Speaking of aggressiveness, Imani Robinson and Mychall Gray were more than serviceable fro the wings and in the paint. Robinson has also show a propensity to come up huge when needed while putting up numbers in the flow and the mental toughness that Gray brought to the table was huge, especially when Higgs wasn't on the floor

D1 Shooters are clearer than 2020#TheLastRun

Tyler Jackson simply does something very well at a very young age, she knows how to find ways to put the ball in the basket. She can stroke from 45N heading back to the Dallas area or she can blow defenders and do some acrobatic things. This D1 Shooters squad is a very talented group of players from the 2020 class, only exception is Kendra Gillespie, 5'10 and 2021, need I say more. Zoe McCray at 5'11 is already playing bigger.

Gabby Mureeba always brings it hard, she's fierce on both ends and won't back down but you have an abundance of talent on this team that won Prime Time Nationals. Brianna Tubby and Kiersten Anderson show me something different each time I see them while Kiersten Anderson and Taylor Morgan continue to show me they are more than just capable scorers. Yazmyn Posada, Taylor Hurst and Neveah Tot keep getting better, well all of these young ladies are and they're simply a joy to watch because there is nothing like watching young players not only who are skilled at this age but comprehend the game

Skyrise stock rises #TheLastRun

When you have an interior like this on a team full of middle school players, wait hold up, hold up. When you have an interior filled with players who are AHEAD of where they should be in middle school, good things will normally happen even if you don't have guard play, but the Houston Skyrise has all that and then some. Amanda Ferry, Alecia White and Elizabeth Scott are all around the magic number, aka 6'0, and that virtually assures a player of landing a college gig after HS is over. Scott has BCS interest as I type, White and Ferry are D1 locks as well and when you add 6'1 Ashley Daniel to relieve one of the, that's four bigs and all are going play Division 1 basketball and folks I can call this in my sleep

Bre Bookman is a tough defender and simply overpowers guards offensively with her strength, good ball handler and a huge upside. Mckenzie Green blew me away as a 5th grader, I didn't call her a lock but I knew she'd be close, well her hard work and that step back she's developing are pretty impressive. Halle Jones continues to simply make things happen on both ends and the thing I truly like is watching her run the team and think the game but I also like watching Kate Petrovic drop the long ones. Anna Chong and Allie Byrd continue to progress on this talented 2019 group that had coaches beaming ear to ear, college coaches folks

6'5 Princess of the ball #CyFairClassic

There was plenty of buzz about Sedona Prince before I even saw her play and I didn't truly get to see the 2018 Texas commit until I dropped by the UT Camp back in June, so of course, I saw exactly what they were seeing. Prince joined Jasmine Smith, Maci Ray, Catherine Reece and Alyce Fields and let me cut right to it, all five of the 2018 young stars will play D1 ball, that one was easy. I called Smith a couple of seasons ago, Reece was easy after watching her do the things she could do at her size, Fields is 6'4 and made huge jumps throughout the season and Ray is simply a scoring machine and with that being said all haven't reached where they'll end up

Also putting in work was Joyce Tennerson, an explosive guard that can hurt you on both ends, Morgan Tauscher and Sydney Anne Cottrell along with Allison Reece , Catherine's older sister, who will bring some firepower to Cy Woods as they make a run to Austin, I mean San Antonio

2018 Under The Radar Kendra Levings video

Nothing like making a lasting impression and folks college coaches love BIG guards that can shoot and this young lady from Oklahoma can definitely do that but it doesn't stop there. Not only does she have great range and a quick release, she plays multiple positions and here's a peek

Coming up later as I wrap up #CyFairClassic

It's bad when you just get in from the club and can't sleep, uhhh FITNESS club, but I'll finish up with Cedar Ridge, SA Finest and Cy Fair Shocks before diving into The Last Run. Newcomers please note, not interested in who wins what, all I'm interested in is finding players capable of playing at the next level, that's it and I'm also not interested in what someone else has said or where someone else has a player ranked, I base what I do on what I see and I seek no ones approval because, well that's just how it is
