I couldn’t attend the Lone Star Showcase due to a conflict
with Prep Girl’s Hoops #TheExclusive in Chicago so after meeting her at Just
Play’s Level Up Event and getting to know her as well as her desire to take her
game to another level, I thought it would be great for both her and me to catch
the action but who is the brains behind @PlayerRIMedies
Marissa Rimmy is slowly starting her player evaluations and recruiting
service focusing on the Houston area. Rimmy grew up playing basketball in the
north Atlanta suburbs. After playing alongside an Olympian on a historic
Georgia girl's basketball team that was ranked number 1 in the country and
garnered a perfect 31-0 record in 2007, Rimmy went on to play college
basketball for 3 years at Georgia Southern (formerly Armstrong Atlantic State)
in Savannah, Georgia. Post-graduation, Rimmy returned to the Atlanta area to
begin a coaching career in the highest qualification class in the state. Upon
relocating to Houston, Rimmy coached at Incarnate Word Academy for 3 years,
heading the program for 2 and finishing each season in the state rankings top
10. She is passionate about using her NCAA playing experience to educate and
connect young girls in the recruiting process.
