CHRONICLE ALL GREATER HOUSTON


I had  to take a little time off to catch my breath and re-charge after rolling with Texas A&M on their magical run along with enjoying the hospitality and excitement at the WNBA draft. With that being said, congratulations to all of the young ladies selected on the AGH team, however I still feel there should be two seperate lists, one for 5A and one for the other divisions. The All District selections are at the bottom of the page.



FIRST TEAM

Crystal Porter
Junior, Elsik, post
Averaging 18.3 points, 12.5 rebounds and two blocks per game, Porter led the Rams to the Class 5A state tournament semifinals. She also was selected to 
the state all-tournament team.



Courtney Williams
Junior, North Shore, post
Williams, who committed to Texas A&M, averaged 16.9 points and 10.6 rebounds en route to leading the Mustangs to the Class 5A Region III final.



Amber Orrange
Senior, Westbury Christian, guard
Orrange, who signed to play for Stanford, anchored the Lady Wildcats to their third consecutive TAPPS Class 4A state championship while averaging 13.7 points and 8.3 assists. She finished her high school career with 1,775 points, 652 rebounds, 565 steals and 901 assists.



Cassie Peoples
Senior, Cy-Fair, guard
The 5-6 guard and McDonald’s 
All-American averaged 24.1 points per game for the Bobcats. She signed to play for Texas next season.



Jenzel Nash
Senior, Worthing, guard
The senior guard and future UTEP Miner led the nation in scoring this season, averaging 37.7 points in 23 contests.
