Celtics bring a little of everything #TheLastRun

Jay Z had a hit song called Girls, Girls, Girls and the WP Celtics had a hit with GPR because of Guards, Guards, Guards because they just kept coming with multiple combinations and as I always say, if you bring the pressure you better be able to handle it and if you don't bring it, you really better be able to handle it. Valerie Nesbitt, Tania Willaims Inesha Dowell, Lore'yonah Clark and Breynna Redmon just swarmed defenders and attacked from everywhere

Keyondra Merrit played bigger than 5'11, maybe it's because she wears the number of my favorite show 24 but she did same "save the day" stuff as well. 6'4 Nyasia Dailyused her body extremely well but the hit that went platinum had to be Shalonda Neely who also made the always important GPR Tip Sheet

Stars vs Boo highlight #TheLastRun

The Houston Stars were a team formed just for The Last Run and it featured Texas Top 100 2016 guards Angela Harris and Faith Cook along with 2015 standouts Jayla Calhoun and the two Bernesha's Coleman and Peters. This team hung with Boo till about the 10 minute mark as the heat got completely turned up. The amazing Megan Walker simply got it done effortlessly and Jovelyn Jones put on a show as well but this is a national team and for the stars to hang as long as they did was good to see

Another bright spot was the coming out party for 2018 Demaya Telemaque who was virtually unknown to me because she wasn't on a club team so yall can go scramble and fight over this one because she has national potential. Harper Birdsong, Xaria Wiggins and Kayla Ballard all took turns for Boo as well as Gadiva Hubbard and Erin Whalen and when you have that type of firepower, well it can create some problems.

Boo's Cierra Crudup joined the Stars Telemaque on the Tip Sheet

I caught the Shot Callers a few months ago and even though they shorthanded, Dajinique Harris and Chantel Ward were two of the many bright spots

Since I just did the piece on Killeen, how about '16 Keuanna Johnson who attends HS there. She's 5'9 and super athletic enough to be captured in that movin pitcha but watching her move on the court was refreshing because I truly enjoy seeing players that know how to play the passing lanes and with her speed and aggressiveness, this enabled her to do the other thing, attack the basket for easy buckets against anyone.

Killeen Lady Cougars bring heat to #TheLastRun

The squad I caught at The Last Run was basically the same and Tija Hawkins looks even better than she did before. Another bright spot was Raven Ringo, a 2015 ready to BINGO to the next level

New era at Klein Forest #TheLastRun

I remember five seasons ago saying Ekiyah Gray, Eboni Parker and Regina Scott would turn the Klein Forest program around and even though I didn't know Jalea Preston as a middle school player, she was simply icing on the cake as the team that had never went to the playoffs prior to the quartet's arrival, that's four, they also won more games during that span than they had in their entire history. This season will be different but contributors fro last season like 6'2 Tiara Marbley and Destiny Vincent are seniors ready to keep the ball rolling along with sophomores Jalie Burkhalter along with transfer Amaya Martin who at 6'1 will join Marbley as twin towers hoping to keep the Golden Eagles not only soaring but as close to 24 carat as possible

6'3 Lofton's improvement huge for GTE #TheLastRun

You can't teach size and you certainly can teach desire and Kennedi Lofton continues to show she wants it. With her and Tori Thompson creating issues down low, Dereca Garret bringing some heated D along with Taylor Powell and Megan Wilkinson drilling it from long range, it gave the other Megan (Worry) who ain't worried about nuttin a chance to just do her thing as she landed on The Last Run Tip Sheet

Up the Clear Creek with many paddles #TheLastRun

I don't know what I liked best about Clear Creek, the explosiveness from Mia Hayes and Lacee Savage , watching Keandra White put on a shooting exhibition or how ell the team looked even though they were missing at least three key players including "Hang Time Hannah" Froeschl, nickname just popped in my head
