Burke on point as The Woodlands prepare for Texas Invitational

Katie Burke usually draws the toughest defensive assignment om her The Woodlands high school team and through her efforts last season, she was chosen as "Defensive Player Of The Year" for the team. She stepped into Lion's Den last season at the Texas Invitational and off the top, one of if not the best player in the country was her assignment. Burke grew from that game and the 2015 GPR UTR player simply continued to expand not only her game but her value to the team as she's developed into one of the areas to points and to get her point across even more, the ball-handling, ability to not only see the floor but read the play before it happens is one of the reasons why The Woodlands are going to continue to be a force

Nicole Iademarco and Kristin Mahoney sealed their deals last week as they signed and those three, along with a talented group of teammates help kick off the Texas Invitational at 9am Thursday. The games have changed again, check the website
