Tip Sheet Thursday (NCAA)

Quatera Limbrick

Before anyone thinks I've gone bonkers, I know it isn't Thursday however I like the ring to it and speaking of rings, well trophies, three players helped lead their teams to set in the NCAA Division of the Houston Insiders Hoopfest

2013
Tierra Riley-5'8 guard-Sports Vision
Riley has always been an exciting player and I'm talking even back wen she was in middle school. Another thing I've noticed is whatever role she was asked to play, she played and now her role is to put up numbers and she did it in just about every game from all over the court

2015
Caylin Barnes-5'4 guard-Houston Lady Dominators
Barnes showed me Deja Hughes wasn't the only electrifying player on their team and that old saying if you can't stand the heat certainly applies and Barnes brought it with the best of them over the weekend. She anticipates and reads the floor nicely and her speed enables her to blow by defenders

Shania Woods-6'1 post-Houston Choice
This choice was easy based on where Woods was at the start of the school season and where she is now. She always had the tools  and now she's thinking the game more which makes her a legitimate threat every time she steps on the floor. She's one of the top posts in the area right now and I'm talking all classes

Kelli Lynch-5-9 wing-Katy Rebels Floyd
Lynch was a joy to watch this event simply because of the way she attacked from everywhere on the court and finished no matter what. I love throwback players who simply won't let you outwork them and along the way, Lynch put up numbers in several games

2016
Adrianna Dunn-6'3 post-Texas Preps Elite White
Three TPE teams brought some very talented and exciting players and I'll have something big on them but speaking of exciting and big, Dunn simply blew me away. Whether it was starting the break with a rebound and finishing it on the other end with a lay-up, diving for loose balls on the court, dominating in the paint or whatever she chose, she put on a show

Quatera Limbrick-5'5 guard-Houston Lady Roadrunners
Some college coaches that subscribe to my service came down for the playoffs and asked who they needed to watch and Limbrick was one of the players I told them they needed to keep an eye on before she blew up. Well before the club season is over, that will happen as she has taken her game to yet another level. If the three ball continues to fall like it did over the weekend, it's going to be easier to name what she can't do because she is developing into a very special player
