Zamia Turner and Chrishona Ellis |
The joy of being young, loving and understanding the game and already showing signs of big things coming. I caught a glimpse of many of the squads I'm about to mention and their players numerous times before and although many mock or laugh at my asking for rosters, common sense should kick in at some point and although many just don't get it, my knowledge and experience is second to none and on my CONSULTING page, click on NCAA link , the odds on playing at the next level should raise your eyebrows. Keep in mind JUCO and NAIA are not included in those statistics, less than 10% of high school seniors playing basketball will play at the next level so if you choose to not pay attention, I don't care but what I do care about is those who follow simple instructions and with that being said here are some of the MS standouts I caught at Prime Time's #NBC19
Lady Thunder 12U
Zamia Turner- showing signs of explosiveness, great first step to the basket and unlimited range from outside. Also plays passing lane and defends baseline to baseline
Chrishona Ellis-strong finisher and rebounder, her catch and shoot gets better every time I see her play plus her mid to long range game continues to impress me, she wants it in the clutch
Journey Taylor |
HUB 2024
Journey Taylor- wires got crossed and I missed part of the game but 2 minutes of Taylor told me a lot. She attacks and finishes nicely, great athleticism and upside
HUB 2025
Raniyah Hunt-prototype PG that gets the job done, understands how to control temp and run offense as well as set up teammates for baskets, plus she can score
Shiloh Kimpson-scores in droves, brings intensity on both ends and her upside is unlimited. Rebounds well, creates off the dribble or in tight situations
Carley Hamilton- long and athletic, attacks basket hard and finishes with contact. Already has good timing to block or alter shots
HUB 2026
Reagan Wright- heady guard that already is showing a crossover that will be deadly before it's all said and done. Attacks the basket well
Serenity Massar- athletic and alert is always good, especially when you implement it into game situations. She plays the passing lane so well now, I can only imagine what's coming
Kierston Russell |
NTX 2025
Kierston Russell-when I talk about players attacking the basket strongly, check above picture because her facial expression says it all. She's powerful on both ends, good upside
Ananda Jenerson-athleticism and under control are very important and at this age, having just that is a great foundation to build on but she has much more. Defends baseline to baseline, plays passing lane, finishes with contact and her upside is huge
Jazlyn Powell-size matters when you can play and she is close to the "magic number" of 6'0 already. Good defender and rebounder, mobile and finishes
VOLS
Taylor Barnes-athletic, plays passing lane, defends and can score from the wing. Watching her glide to the basket effortlessly at this age is pretty impressive, so is her upside
Arianna Criss-showed a lot of power both battling for rebounds, on both ends as well as finishing with contact but her going C2C numerous times splitting the defense for baskets was something to see
Autumn Sherman-I have a saying I hashtag #sizedontmatter when you can play and she can play. Brings tons of energy, won't back down, attacked against whomever and showed a nice mid range game
REPS UP
Gwendlynn McGrew- game starts at the one, she's close to 6'0, her range is 5 steps across halfcourt, her upside is unlimited and she's a what, #BCSLock and that means MAJOR D1
