Cy Creek defeats Cy Fair for final spot

This was one of those games that you knew right off the top was going down to the wire just based on the opening four minutes. It started off ugly with several fouls as stars from both teams received two quick ones and were forced to sit. Dani Fielder wound up sitting much of the first half bit Ikpeaku Iwobi caried the team offensively as the Cougars were up on the Bobcats 25-23 at the half.

As effective as Iwobi was for Creek, if Bobbi Ricks wasn't on fire for the Bobcats this game would not have gone into overtime and both players had double digits in th first half

Creek fell behind  28-27 early in the third then went on an 8-0 run however freshman Angela Harris caught fire and helped ignite a 12-0 Bobcat run of their own before Fielder's layup stopped that run. Then Fielder stole the ball under the basket and went coast to coast for an and one to end the third 42-40 Creek

Ikpeaku and Fielder went out like warriors combing for 46 points however if it wasn't for Haley Deakins clutch free throw shooting in OT along with Jessica Munoz key buckets down the stretch in the fourth  quarter, this game could have gone a different way. It's sad someone had to lose, both teams understood what was on the line and they played their hearts out
