Everyone is talking about #BattleAtTheHive
The hashtag above is what you need to plug in Twitter and like magic, you'll get to see a lot of USEFUL information. I saw talented players sunup to sundown both days, well it was going down after I had a chance to see a couple of exciting 6th grade teams, Oklahoma Bombers Elite vs CIA, close it out in the GOLD division, Bombers took that one
I now it's not Monday but I had to use this #AutoAwesome photo to send you a message, well link to the archived games and here you go

Cy Woods vs Dallas Skyline for the big one
Don't know if Nancy Nulkey was upset about being photo-bombed by yours truly however one thing you don't want to do is upset her and she turns into The Incredible Mulk as she scored 21 points and added 14 rebounds in Cy Woods 79-60 victory. This game was deadlocked at 38 at halftime, much of that was simply because Amber Ramirez dropped 7 of her 8 threes and had 25 points

Woods was simply too strong with four players in double figures including freshman Cate Reece who like Mulkey had a double-double of 15/11. Isn't it ironic that Mulkey (Oklahoma) and Ramirez (Oklahoma State) are couple of juniors that have already committed and I'm here on Oklahoma and passed by both colleges
Been talking about Amber for what seems like forever so here's 10 from Ramirez for the road

SATCH Lady Mavericks (34-8) had a grueling season this year,
playing some of the top teams in Texas. Last weekend, the team defeated the
Lubbock Titans 58-48 to take the state championship title at the THSBBC, Texas

contribute 11 points to the team's win. All-tournament selections from the team

Cy Woods in drivers seat to bring it home
Yeah it went in, in fact Erica Ogwumike has been on a rampage as she joins older sisters Nneka and Chiney Ogwumike on trips to the state tournament. If Cy Woods wins, it will be the first time that R3 has brought home the title in the top division back to back season
ARCHIVES
I've already stated Cy Woods will win both games by double digits, which means absolute;y nothing but the odds are with me as they have been with the Wildcats all season

Wagner rebounds to state after slow start to open season
Last season San Antonio Wagner made it state represent R4 and their opening game was against Duncanville who was one of the top teams in the country and ranked #1 in the state. Wagner lost to Duncanville who then lost to Manvel however the Thunderbirds are the only one of those returning in fact they are the only team returning in the top division from a year ago. Their BCS backcourt of Amber Ramirez and Kiana Williams is only just the beginning as they have a variety of weapons on their squad, that's the good news. The bad news is that they open with #1 in Texas Cy Woods who has the deepest starting five from around here and probably the state
On another note, the Thunderbirds started off the season 0-4 and went 26-6 the rest of the way and with the firepower they posses, you just never know

Skyline digs deep to advance to state
With a starting line-up as impressive as Cy Woods, Skyline was ranked by many, including me, as the team to beat this season. A big part of that was because of Baylor bound Alexandria Gulley however after that young lady had a season ending injury, a few other teams, Cedar Ridge, Richardson and Dekaney jumped ahead of the Raiders as teams to beat in R2 ironically they defeated the latter two to get here
On paper, they have more firepower than Flower Mound and should advance however the game is played on the court and wouldn't it be something if a couple of teams only a few people thought had a shot would actually win it all

Flower Mound makes surprise visit to state, or do they
The first time I saw Lauren Cox was when she was an 8th grader playing at Prime Time Nationals and I was simply amazed at her hands and footwork, the ability to run the floor, defend and more importantly finish. I wrote a piece that night and the next day a couple of guys came over and introduced themselves to me as coaches from the team playing against Cox and one made mention about how he had coached high school ball for over 20 years and he was tired of people writing about these kids when he had kids better, mind you they were HS seniors and this young lady had yet to suit up for her first game at Flower Mound and he said she was nothing more than a volleyball player playing basketball
When I realized he was talking about me, like the #AutoAwesome photo he had to get that out of here so my response was coach I know guys who have been mechanics for over 20 years yet their cars are always broke. Over the years I've heard people say some stupid things however one thing I'm pretty good is assessing talent and especially at a young age so being #1 nationally in her class as well as making the USA team not to mention being recruited, well offered by just about everyone simply shows I was once again on the money. Soon after I began calling Cox " Miss Triple Double" and in their upset victory on Plano West to get here, she was 2 assists shy

Tomorrow a breakdown of the 6A Final 4
The stage has been set and Dallas Skyline has made it to the state tournament even though one of their star players, Baylor signee Alexandria Gulley, has been injured most of the season. I'll breakdown their game vs Miss Triple Double's Lauren Cox and her Flower Mound squad along with the incredible Cy Woods starting line-up vs a very impressive group from San Antonio Wagner,
Many are surprised at some of the teams here, well me included but like I've always said you only have to be the best team that game. Let me put it another way, you can have the freshest shrimp and crabs, the best andouille sausage and the highest grade chicken or hen but if the roux ain't right........
STATE SCHEDULE
Can't go to San Antonio but you wanna watch playoffs, hmmmm
Well here's the next best thing, you can watch it via internet and if you have Chromecast or an Amazon fire stick or whatever, just play like you're seeing it on TV. Last season all of the championships were on FOX, I see they've gone back to the old format and will just televise the top division on Saturday but here you go
BROADCAST
Vista Ridge appears to be in 5A drivers seat
I wrote a cleverly titled story almost a month ago "Vista Ridge ready for Pardee in San Antonio and low and behold, they've made it read more
Vista Ridge opens up against Dallas Adams while always tough Canyon plays the game before against Rudder featuring "The Twins" who closed the R3 championship out with
