Houston United Eddie #simmiecolsonclassic

Houston United head coach and director Chuck McCowan has coached some of the top players from the social media era that have gone on to not only play at the next level but the highest of the next level and before I forget to make it about me, almost 10 years ago was my first article about his squads, notice I said a young Di Di Richards had Top 100 written all over her, she won a National Championship at Baylor and plays in the WNBA #thereisnome

Another of the "true developers" over the years, McCowan has a nice pipeline working as I caught the younger squads here and here so as I stay on the lookout and see their progression on the court over the next few years, let me drop this 2025 squad

Renata Martinez (Cy Springs) stands at "the magic number" which is 6'0, she understands how to create her shot under pressure and drop it, also attacks off the dribble, nice upside

Susan Maring (Cy Springs) 6'1 is 73 inches and with my area code being 713, she is definitely one to be monitoring because she has nice hands and footwork, plenty of upside

Tiana Harden-5'11 (Cy Creek) long and athletic is the base and with her being active on the defensive end, that's a great foundation

Jaslyn Ford (Cy Springs) is 6'2 and strong, that's an understatement as she rebounded on both ends and scored on putbacks, with players literally hanging on her

Isabelle Jordan (Cy Springs) uses her athleticism nicely, did a good job defending as well as rebounding, on both ends. scored around the rim

Macie Aranda (Tomball Memorial) good rebounder and defender

London Columbus (Jersey Village) plays within herself, nice court vision

Kendall Kyle (St Agnes) looking at her height, I'm even more impressed with writing UPS and at 5'7 she elevated over taller players to grab rebounds

Keeping an eye on

Emery Haralson (Cy Springs)

Andrea Pleasante (Cy Park)

Team Motivate 2023 #TexasSpotlightShowcase

One of the many things I am good at is being able to evaluate and predict young talent and whether are not they are on track for the next level and although there will always be sleepers, some just stand out immediately and the first couple of times I saw Team Motivate 2023 this season, a couple of their players , Synia DeWater  and London Harden  made Tip Sheets, ironically I used the search bar on both here and my website and 3 years ago I said I loved DeWater's upside, click on each one of their names to see

Fast forward to Texas Spotlight Showcase and I got a full view of this talented squad with several players that are going to be making plenty of noise. Alaisha Brown got the nod for the Tip Sheet this event. This is a very athletic young squad that gets after it and are under control, the energy from both Jyra Chrsitopher and Jaylen Mills doesn't stop, Mills also attacks and finishes strong, as well and Chloe Mann who had me going "man oh man" with her speed tied into everything and she made a save I haven't seen many high school guards heading to college make. Mann, Harden, Anyha Green McGowan and Jayda Leonard are all playing up while Hailey Townson and Eaira Colbert have been bright spots all season

Talented young players not even in MS starts off 2018 Queen Of The Court

KEZIAH LOFTON

Talent is everywhere, I stress that over and over and one thing you'll always get with me is I call it like I see it and being knowledgeable about talent that I've watched for over 20 years, I sort of have a clue about this since "I ain't been wrong yet" so here are 9 PRE-MS players to start off the 2018 Queen Of The Court, always remember I'm only as good as the rosters you send in but I have other names I'll dropping on Twitter and (or) Instagram in the coming weeks since I took about 200 photos worth dropping from this outstanding event put on by DC Queens

LONDON HARDEN

2025

Gavyn Robinson ( DC Queens) explosive guard, attacks basket and finishes, plays passing lane and defends baseline to baseline

London Harden (Team Motivate) creates off the dribble, has ability to blow by defenders and keeps coming at you. Wants the ball under pressure

Keziah Lofton  ( BTR 2025) I said she left me speechless last year so I guess I'll say she's a #D1Lock. As good as she was last year, I love the progression as well as desire and comprehension. Plenty of upside is left as she keeps adding to her repertoire

MORGAN DAVIS

2026

Morgan Davis ( LDN Elite 2026) when you're this young and can create your own shot, that's always a good thing but when you're this young and find ways to score, that's a great thing. Tough as nails on both ends

Mazira Palmer ( LDN Select 2026) good size and length already, keeps ball high and battles on both ends for boards, all of this is huge at this stage but icing on the cake is that she finishes

Makenzie White (DC Queens 2026 Silver) athletic, finds ways to get to the basket in traffic and finishes with contact. Already understands playing passing lane and defends on perimeter

Rieyan  DeSouze ( Nike Cy Fair Elite-Lewis) one of those #sizedontmnatter guards I love to talk about and when you impress initially, I definitely keep an eye on you and adding multiple ways to scorer and using both hands in traffic tells me a lot

Jayla Constant ( BTR 2026) you have fast and you have fast with the ball and let me give you a Constant reminder that with the ball, especially under pressure and at this stage is special. She sees the floor, creates and can take over, all pluses

LOGHAN HAMILTON

2027

Loghan Hamilton (Flight Elite) upside has me speechless, already long and athletic plus she's under control and poised. Handles the ball well in the open court under pressure, finishes strong

Stars shining at 2015 Prime Time Nationals

BROOKE McKEEL

Prime Time Nationals, TX – GPR correspondent Jim Johnson was all over the place checking out talented players and here are more standouts from Prime Time Nationals and guess what, more will be coming

AUTUMN MATLOCK

2016
Autumn Matlock 6' and plays hard and the above picture says it all showing one of her many offensive rebounds and put backs. Has a nice touch from long range and does all the dirty work and the rewards that go with it.

JASMINE CROSKEY

2017
Jasmine Croskey (Texas Elite Haynes/Carpenter) Smooth is the first word that comes to mind this is a perfect 2 guard.  Plays at both ends, can drive, dish and stroke it from 3

Brook McKeel (Texas Elite Haynes/Carpenter) She’s  6'1 and has a big body and knows how to use it.  She doesn't foul on the defensive end, has   good hands, looks for the cutter and will pass out of the post, added plus is she’s a lefty with a sweet baby left jump hook.

TARYN DUPUY

2018
Taryn Dupuy  ( Tigers) Fast 2 guard plays all 94'. Shoots well and penetrates to the basket and also gets to the foul line often.

MYCAH McDONALD

2019
Mycah McDonald (Synergy Athletics )2 guard that plays at both ends. Her speed and athletic ability go well with her ability to penetrate and gets to the line often.  Has good range and form and can handle the ball

KURSTYN HARDEN

Kurstyn Harden ( Synergy Athletics ) She’s a six footer with plenty of potential and once she grows more into that body, she could be a force to deal with inside. Has some good footwork and instinctive skills.

Several stars shine for Team Arkansas Elite 2015 at #SBEX

I was already familiar with Rakia Lane from Little Rock Hall, saw her the Sandra Meadows Classic back in December and she made the Full Court Tip Sheet but this team is filled with other talented players as well. Hall was just as impressive this time around and she made the Tip Sheet again for the #SBEX

Kanoesha Wilson did a little bit of everything, as you see in the picture above she was relentless going to the basket for scores not to mention she showed her mid-range was consistent as well. This was just an in your face team who ran the press and pushed the ball well. Jaida Harden, Jada Taylor and Antrice Mc Coy were interchangeable at times while Jekalen Jones and Chasity Moore gave them plenty of energy
