Gifted sophomore Hailey Mack won't be playing ball this season however what I witnessed while this young lady was on the bench will go a long way for the Tigerettes this season. It's always refreshing to see players, especially "THE STAR" whether she's injured or not be supportive of her teammates, it speaks a lot about character. Conroe is not going to win district however they may catch some teams slipping and make a run for a playoff spot. One thing you can't teach is heart
Undersized post Zakemja Buchanan got them going early and finished with 24 points on an array of shots against Jersey Village in their 62-40 victory. With many new faces on the court along with injured players and being undersized, JV will take some early season lumps.
Ronisha Major's is now playing at Texas however her absence didn't stop Ceidra Coleman (17) and Brianna Fuller (22) from making their presence felt in a 61-42 win over Westfield. The good news for both Jersey Village and Westfield is that unlike Conroe, they have injured players that will be returning this season so the next time I see them, both teams may look completely different.
Bryan is a team that will surprise some over the next few seasons. They have some young talented players now with more on the way from middle school. Their veteran leadership saw them jump out on Lamarque and appeared to be on their way to an upset. One thing they don't have is Jesseika Palmer, well not many teams have a player of this caliber, who dropped 30 in the flow while keeping her teammates involved. With that being said, Jess get's the light up picture!

Although I puled a Rick Perry and found myself saying "OOPS" when I couldn't remember Anna Strickland's name last night, TheWoodlands will have many opponents wishing to forget their games against them because this Highlander team might just be on the verge of something special. I think I tied that in rather nicely.
