I caught the younger North Texas Strive players right off the the top in the very first game of the tournament and my intentions were to try and catch them a second time. Just observing them and breaking down bits and pieces, this team has quite a few talented players and after finding out they were missing a couple of players on the inside, I'll make sure and get a better view of them the next time our paths cross
They opened against a very tough Texas Lone Star Blue team but they fought the whole game. Shakayla Johnson has an abundance of athleticism and she got to the basket whenever she wanted .Crosbi Jentsch got to the basket as well however she also showed she could hit the long ball. Deonna Moore has good size and instincts and has the potential to one day dominate inside the paint.
