Bobcats hold off Cardinals

Cy Fair entered their second round game as being one of the hottest teams in the state and sweeping the toughest district in the area however it was Bellaire bringing the heat early Going big, the Cardinals front line of Armaani Asberry, Emani Hamilton and Ireneshia Johnson were attacking the boards hard as Bellaire jumped out to an early lead however much of that changed when the super energetic Kyler Wyatt came in off the bench for the Bobcats. Momentum changed and it appeared that Cy Fair was about to open this game up as  Angela Harris started feeling it from everywhere but Aeriel Holiday hit some big threes for the Cardinals to keep them within striking distance

Several Cardinals hit big threes throughout the game, that's one of the reasons Bellaire managed to stay close but Shania Woods started heating up, then you had big plays coming from either Taylor McCowan, Amber Lane or Shannon Berg on both ends. I put-back by Asia Woods had the lead back up to double digits however Angel Williams,, who was plagued with foul trouble, nailed about a 30 footer that got the Cardinal fans going again

Shortly after that, Williams picked her fourth with 1:30 left in the third and even though the Cardinals were only down 55-46, without their leading scorer and the energy she brings they couldn't cut into the lead as the quarter ended 60-51

Cy Fair won 73-61, Harris led all scorers with 24 followed by S. Woods with  21 and Wyatt off the bench with 11. Johnson led the Cardinals with 19 and probably even more rebounds than the 20 I tweeted she had, followed by Asberry with 12. Cy Fair advances and will play the winner of the Cy Ranch vs Seven Lakes game
