As Ashley Kilcommins let's one fly, Katie Najvar is ready to battle under boards just in case and that's what DFW Elite Peoples coach Marcus Peoples instills in his teachings, flying and battling and having one of the top guards to come out of the area, Cassie, you probably want to listen

Navjar knows about battling and prior to her knee injury season before last, she was one of the areas top bigs in her 2014 class. The underrated Kilcommins is coming into her own as well as Ashley Springfield and Courtney Cook. Taylor McCowan is one of those kids that can score in droves and Haley Clements hard work is paying off as she is giving productive minutes game after game

DFW Elite Blake getting closer and closer at #TXSpringInv

Kristalyn Jackson and Dominique Harrison confuse me at times since I've seen them only at two separate venues, earlier this season at the Insiders Hoopfest and this past weekend at the Texas Spring Invitational. It's not that they resemble each other but their games are similar and as they often pass by me, it's a blur whether it's on offense or defense as they are two more players that will be difference makers in the 2016 class before it's over

 DFW Elite Blake has showed improvement since that initial tournament as the pieces start coming together, come July they are going to create some buzz. Kaja Blake is getting more physical in the paint and as her offense continues to blossom, this will be an added plus for their squad

DFW Elite Houston Miller 2014 almost 100% at #TXSpringInv

Abigail Whyte's athleticism shall never been taken for granted especially after her showing over the weekend at the Texas Spring Invitational. Long and and athletic enables her to shoot over anyone and shoot she did as she put up numbers during the event as she and Brittany Pruitt created matchup problems. Jade Ball also had a breakout game scoring double figures and the pieces are starting to come together

With the imposing Tiffany Valentine continuing her dominating club season in the paint, DFW Elite Houston Miller is on the verge of doing some big things. Shatarah Brown can score against anyone and with Kierra Fisher and Jonee Jones going full blast, offensive weapons are everuywhere

Austin Elite finishes strong at Boo

The came, they saw and they conquered as another Texas team had a great showing at Boo WilliamsAustin Elite RFW captures the Boo Williams Joe Smith Silver Bracket Crown. Lead by stalwarts ‘14 Tyesha Taylor and Jazzmen Ortiz, while announcing the coming out party of ‘14 Jaiton Walls, ’15 Kennedy Harris and ’14 Essence Sauls. 

Austin Elite Black showed very well also going 2-1 with Haley Frias averaging 16pts a game.

DFW Elite Houston 2017 chemistry works fine at #TXspringInv

I love this picture because it captures two of the DFW Elite Houston 2017stars that helped save the day in the championship game of the Insiders Hoopfest a few weeks ago. Charli Collier is going to potential MDAA candidate once it's all said and done, copy and paste, lock in a vault or time capsule but pull it out five years from now and tell me I was wrong. Tayelin "Clutch"Graves can baseline to baseline, with the ball, in under four seconds and her basket is what put them in a position to win the whole thing

Paris Netherly was home nursing and injury but Julia Glandt filled in nicely as well Catherine Reese and Jada Lake not to mention the youngest of them all, Briauna Johnson who made the Tip Sheet

I've already used Tia Wright is DYNOMITE but let me roll with Good Times one more time because this JJ, Jordan Jenkins, showed she was an artist as well, on the court. With blazing speed and the ability to handle, Jenkins performed dual duty with some solid players from Fairfield High called DFW Elite East

Jenkins, Tiara Tatum and Karoneshia Lowery were one of the fastest and athletic backcourts at the Texas Spring Invitational. keep reading the blog and you'll be even more amazed. Tatum and Ainsley Richardson also showed they could hit the three while Bree Bossier provided inside help at 6'0

2015 DFW Elite player scores TD for small guards at #TXSpringInv

I was impressed with this young lady the first time I saw her handle the ball and as her game continues to evolve, she's one of the reasons the phrase "size doesn't matter" is used for the simple fact that players shouldn't let their height be deterrent. After all, Houston and (or) Rice had starting point guards a little over 5'0 for the last five years

Kylah Jones next level dream arrives

Certain things stay in the back of my mind and I remember DFW Elite Coach Irving Butler saying something to me a while back. He said "Simmie, I always tell kids basketball is about two things, putting points on the scoreboard and stopping their opponents from doing just that" and if ever a statement was so simple yet prophetic, it fits Jones to a tee.

I had her on the GPR  UTR list however like many others, she should not have been and Loyola University has landed a prize that will have me bragging once again that I told you so
