Houston Elite duo stock continues to rise

6'2 Rangie Bessard (2014) transferred to Manvel last season and gave them one of the top frontcourts in the state as she teamed up with Texas commit, Jordan Hosey (2015) and Brianna Turner, one of the top 2014 players in the country. Bessard solidified her status averaging close to a double double and is now puuting in the same effort for Houston Elite this summer as she and  6'5 Jazz Evans form one of the top inside threats in the state


I'll get a chance to see them again next week at the next GPR Certified event, the Insiders Basketball Classic. The IBC is FULL just the like the exposure those participating in the event will receive  and if you get what I give anywhere else, you've got yourself a bargain

Rockwall tradition carries on at DSS

When you talk about some of the great teams of this millennium, Rockwall is certainly one that comes to my mind after making several runs to Austin including a state championship. They've also had several players go on to play at the next level and I see that trend continuing after catching a good look at them during the Dallas Spring Shootout. Sara Williamson did a little bit of everything, I'll come back to her later today when I put together the DSS Tip Sheet, but there were others who caught my eye

Hannah Clark stands 6'0 and she did a number of good things as well including being able to handle the ball well enough in the half court to make some good passes to teammates, which is a bonus when you're a post. She also rebounded and hit the mid range well not to mention score in the paint. Cassie Ross and Rachel Farrow also saw the floor well on this very unselfish team while they had a number of player who could also put it on the floor and take it to the rim

Regan Gladney not only knew how to get to the rim but she also showed she could shoot the long ball and Mandi McMillan and Krystal Contreras ability to finish consistently were huge in helping them make it to Grand Championship Game in the 11th/12th grade division. They lost in the final against another school team, Argyle however both teams appear to be headed to huge seasons in the next school year

Even more on the babies from 2017 and 2018 as Texas Preps Elite 2017 and Team Adidas Elite 2017 locked up in the championship game of the 9th/10th grade Division, not bad, not bad. Both teams have several stars in the making. Speaking of stars, I'll also have a piece on Rockwall who finished runner-up in the Grand Championship Game of the 11th/12th graders. Former Rockwall stars Shelby and Peyton Adamson gave me as much fun watching them coach the team as I had watching them put up numbers when they played at Rockwall before moving on to the next level. DFW Bevos makes some noise at DSS

Let me just cut to the chase and say Victoria George makes tomorrow's tip sheet after she showed she has the potential to be dominate in the paint after watching her performance at the Dallas Spring Shootout. Several players showed they have next level potential including Jada Jennings who could attack from anywhere on the floor as well as Shyaria Cheatom who could not only attack, but also showed she had remarkable range

Several of the young ladies showed a lot of promise and after my initial sighting, I'm looking forward to the next time I see them go at

Flower Mound Lady's Thunder heard at DSS

I liked Bre Wickware at the Texas Spring Invitational so much that she made a tip sheet as she simply did an abundance of things, most of them quite well and since she's a 2016 and 6'1, well you know thing are going to fall into place especially when she's very athletic. At the Dallas Spring Shootout, she continued to show me how hard she works on every play and that once it's all said and done, she'll have options galore

Makenzie Grill knew how to get to the basket at the Texas Spring Invtational and nothing has changed as she drove by defenders and just found ways to score. Jacy Beam was strong in the paint on both ends of the floor as she battled for every rebound that came her way. She als scored from the wing several times and this  team full of 2016 players and one 2018, Maci Tukoly, have something to work with

H4H Texas Fire Black shows versatility at DSS

We've already established the fact that I'm sold on '18 Addison Ryan who played in both divisions for H4H that she's heading for GPR Tip Sheet notoriety but after review, it would be safe to assume that several others have a shot at doing so in the future. I like '15 Kristen Smith simply because she appears to be at least 6'2 and she has solid hands, the rest will fall into place. Another '15, Kalee Garza, hit the midrange jumper time and time again and when you add the fact that she's a lefty, that's a huge plus as well. Another middle schooler, '17 Kristen Brom understands the game at a young age and was able to figure out ways to get to the line from a variety of spots on the floor. Throw in the fact that she can hit the three and she's young, well that's a nice situation to be in.
