Houston Premier playing like name #IBC

Houston Premier just keeps getting better and year after year I'm watching what I always say is the most important thing I look for as an evaluator, progression. Five HP teams played in the Insiders Basketball Classic and three left with hardware and after just being overwhelmed with yet another one of their younger groups of players last weekend at Prime Time New Caney, I felt like this would be the time to let it flow

HP Blue

I keep going on and on about Lindsey Tredway who may be the most underrated 6'1 player in the state. I mean she can score inside or face the basket and she and Alley Welling both are strong rebounders with great footwork. You want midrange shoooters, Lauren Harrison, Peyton Walker and Megan Musso show me that over and over and watching Reagan Magee catch and shoot from distance is definitely a highlight. Julia Bannister can simply light it up from almost anywhere while Sydney Mackzo continues to do a lot of different things. She's sees the floor well, I'm talking assists and steals as she anticipates and plays what I love to see players do, the passing lane and her ability to get to the basket and finish was among the best in the event which helped them to a runner-up finish in WNBA Black Division

HP White

While we're on progression, looking at where Mercedes Babineaux was and what she's doing now is simply amazing and watching her score double digits in the second half of the NCAA title game tells me she's putting in the work. Alyssa Osborne, Jazmin Guillen and Angalyn Latin all can shoot the three but they ca do other things as well. Osborne also sees the floor, Guillen can hit the midrange and Latin attacks strong and reads the defense. Jenna Shaw and McKenna Christler also shot the midrange well while Caroline Koch and Avery Jones brought heat on D. Megan McConnell is long and active around the basket plus she finishes strong and throw all of that together for a runner up in the NCAA Division

HP Orange

Several players caught my eye on this team which was a mixture of classes from 8th to 10th grade . Shelby Sanderson is the 2018 and you will be hearing about her as she knows how to get to basket and finish strong. Emily Chafin's athleticism allowed her to bring heart plus she can shoot the three while Hannah Avilla and Madison McGurrin wingspan allows them to be over the magic number and more importantly play like it. Sara Gillani sees the floor well but it didn't matter what mixture you put in, they were on point. Sasha Hester, Luisa De La Rosa Roma, Olivia Brusuelas and Reagan Satterfield all mixed in well to help the squad compete

HP 14U

I am going to get a kick out watching these kids over the next few years as the talented group of 8th took Consolation Gold. Watch out for Madison Brast, she already has NBA range while Cathering Aguilar is a C2C for two or three waiting to happen and with her length and ability to handle the ball, well. Kendall Bullard has great timing and deflected or blocked several shots. How about  multiple players attacking like Juliet Hemeyer, Caroline Hittler and Rebecca Nosich for points, Hitler and Nosich also knocked down some midrange shots while Caite Sexton, Elise Colin and Chandler Jones all brought heat on defense

HP Black

Caught a glimpse of these players and can't wait until I get a good look but from what I gathered, they show a lot of upside. Amanda Toner has the right name because she has the potential to "set the tone" on both ends but so do others. Skylar Crawford, Brice Willbanks, Morgan Arnett and Grace Ramos are a few of the players I had a chance to see and can't wait to get a second look at
