Katie Burke had a breakout season last year as she not only was thrown into the hornets nest off the top at the point for The Woodlands, she showed she could run a team and on top of that, drew the opposing teams top offensive player throughout the season. How did she do? Well she was named Defensive Player Of The Year on her Highlanders squad and after a big summer with Houston Premier which had Burke playing multiple positions, she's going to be one of the key players on one of the areas most successful teams this millennium. The Highlanders already have a couple of players that have committed to D-1 programs , Nicole Iademarco and Kristin Mahoney, Burke will soon follow that same path to the next level.
