If you read the last two stories you might have noticed a pattern, 2013 players who will be overcoming injuries. The pattern continues with Jasmine King, one of the most coachable and hardest working players I've been involved with. Her saga continues at Westside high, one of the top HISD programs and an area Final 4 participant three of the past six seasons. Playing sparingly her freshman year, Jasmine was hit by the injury bug most of last season and didn't really play after the school season until Basketball On The Bayou
Her "We Believe" shirt says it all because after watching her pull double duty at both Baker Camps as well, I believe this should be a breakout season for Jasmine as Westside enters a rebuilding phase. Like Lira, Jasmine has silenced critics along the way as well proving heart and smarts can get the job done, a nice jumper helps also!
